What Happened

In a Casino Night game, a Player didn't have enough chips to post both the BB and the Ante

House Ruling

The Ante obligation was given priority. In the future, in accordance with the recommendation of the TDA RP-11, the Big Blind will be given priority.

Reasoning

The League has decided to adhere to the recommendation of the TDA rules RP-11 for future games.

What Players Should Remember

In a Casino Night game, when a player doesn't have enough chips to post both the Big Blind and the Ante, the Big Blind gets posted first to the fullest degree possible and any remaining chips in the player's stack, if any, are posted as the Ante.

Exposed Card Overlooked as Burn Card

What happened

A card was exposed while being dealt to a player and was set aside to serve as the burn card before the flop. The dealer then mistakenly burned another card before dealing the flop. The error was not discovered until after the turn had been dealt.

House ruling

The completed flop and turn remained in place. The exposed card remained out of play, and the river card was dealt without burning another card. In the future, a card should be burned before dealing the river.

Reasoning

TDA rule 35.D is clear that once substantial action has occured in a hand, the hand must be played out as equitably as possible (unless the deck is fouled).
